What to expect during Treatment?

Most patients feel a warm sting as the laser penetrates the hair follicle.  Many people describe the sensation as the snap of a rubber band against their skin.  To minimize the discomfort, a cool gel is applied to the skin before treatment.  The laser is also equipped with a cooled sapphire window to further cool the surface of the skin while allowing laser light to heat the hair follicle beneath the skin.

How Many Treatments are Needed?

The number of treatments required varies with each procedure, as well as with each patient.  At the time of the initial consultation, the doctor will advise the typical number of treatments necessary to achieve your desired goal.
